All coaches, assistant coaches and chaperones have to be Class A Volunteers
All Class A Volunteers have to renew the registration and two online courses every three years
There are two steps to becoming a Class A Volunteer for Special Olympics
Step 1 - register as a volunteer

Step 2 - take two online courses
Class A Volunteers have to take two (2) short online courses:
(1) Protective Behavior Training , and
(2) Concussions
To take the courses, make an account on the Special Olympics Learning Portal to get to the training course
